Recognition for this line of work is few and far in between since most people don't give a second thought to it. Things like the foun- dation for a stage, the light fixtures suspended high in the air, the large sets for a musical production, the large speakers at a wedding. "Most of what we do is intended not to be seen," he said. Despite having a list of big-name clients, the company also works with smaller clients, in- cluding churches and universities for the- ater projects. Dun- ning has been trying to focus on the local scene in Santa Cruz County and wants people to know about the smaller services offered. He points to people looking to host events in their backyards that could rent a sound system for a few hundred dollars. ("We have speakers you can plug your iPhone into," he said.) Or church groups that want to upgrade their sound systems. The company just launched a mobile stage service for bands to rent, offering a professional stage and system for an afford- able price. "If you have a band that's doing a barbecue concert and you need a stage with speakers, you can call us," he said.
