TV Media Weekly | October 22 - 28, 2016 Sunday morning | 7 By Andrew Warren TV Media Parental bliss: They may not be the head-turning oddity they were in years past, but stay-at- home dads still have their work cut out for them. Having not one, not two, but three kids to parent means triple the work — and tri- ple the odds that something will go off the rails. Matt LeBlanc takes a break from work to spend a lot more time with his growing family — at least, that's what the dad he's playing in his new sitcom is doing. "Man With a Plan" premieres Monday, Oct. 24, on CBS, with the "Top Gear" and "Friends" star headlin- ing the cast as Adam Burns, a building contractor who spends a lot more time parenting his chil- dren when his wife goes back to work after 13 years as a stay-at- home mom. Liza Snyder ("Yes, Dear") plays his wife, Andi. Confident and self- assured, it seems to Adam as if she runs the family effortlessly, and now that she's out of the house more often, he quickly begins to understand that she only made it look easy — parenting is, in fact, extremely challenging. Of course, the kids are delighted at the prospect of spending a lot more time with Daddy — at least at first. Manipulative preteen Kate (Grace Kaufman, "The Last Ship"), middle child Teddy (Matthew Mc- Cann, "All Stars," 2015) and kin- dergartner Emme (Hala Finley, "Letters from a Father," 2016) soon figure out that dad's prob- lem-solving ways are a far cry from what they're used to. Kevin Nealon ("Weeds") rounds out the core cast as Adam's brother and business partner, Don, who is constantly offering "helpful" ad- vice on how to solve his brother's family problems — advice that's often only good for making the problems worse. Jessica Chaffin ("Spy," 2015), Matt Cook ("Clipped") and Diana Maria Riva ("Telenovela") also star as a few of the many people caught up in the Burns family's stay-at-home switcheroo. Like any stay-at-home parent, though, Adam's just doing his best: he loves his family more than any- thing. The new Matt LeBlanc sit- com "Man With a Plan" premieres Monday, Oct. 24, on CBS.
