You have just lived through weather history, as the all - time hottest air (at least in weather record history) just baked most of the Southeast part of the country. Both Spartanburg and Charlotte toppled their hottest temperatures ever, and Asheville came close. No matter what the numbers were, we got scorched with about 105 degrees! Those days are over now and signs of change are imminent. A strong cold front will come our way this weekend and then stall. We will have storms each day, beginning Friday, and this could turn out to be a pretty wet pattern coming up, and much cooler. I think we can breathe a sigh of relief at the welcome wet weather, even though it will still feel very humid and uncomfortable.
