ELVA MAY BOWEN ROLLINS Mrs. Elva May Bowen Rollins, age 82, of Shelby, NC, passed away on September 1, 2016. The funeral services were held at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will be at Cleveland Memorial Park at a later date. Mrs. Rollins was preced- ed in death by her husband, Clyde Irvin Rollins; parents, Broadus B. Bowen and Fannie May Ledford Bowen; brother, Harvey B. Bowen; and sister, Hazel Bowen McCraw. She is survived by her twin brother, Elbert "Buddy" Bowen of Shelby, NC; and one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Buddy Wright of Lawndale, NC. A memorial service was held at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Mr. Dyer was preceded in death by his parents, Doc Lawrence Dyer and Annie Mae Melton Dyer Roberson; his step-father, Coran Roberson; two sons, Paul Eric Dyer and Steven Douglas Dyer; brother, Lawrence Dyer, Jr.; sister, Lorene Hopper; and two sisters-in-law, Carrie Dyer and Joanne Dyer. He is survived by one son, Johnny Dyer of Mooresboro, NC; daughter, Kathy Banich of Kannapolis, NC; eight brothers, Richard Dyer and wife, Katherine of Ellenboro, NC, Dean Dyer and wife, Linda and Frank Dyer and wife, Nancy all of Bostic, NC, James Dyer of Gastonia, NC, Lester Dyer, Leroy Dyer and wife, Mary and Arthur Dyer and wife, Bea all of Shelby, NC and Fred Dyer and wife, Jo of Kings Mountain, NC; one sister, Ruth Dyer Beattie and husband, Hugh of Bostic, NC; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Landmark Baptist Church. Burial followed at Cleveland Memorial Park with Military Honors. Mr. Clark served our coun- try in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his par- ents, Hal Claude and Mary Cronan Clark; and five brothers and three sisters.
