The event was hosted by the Shelby Police Department and included area emergency agencies including the Cleveland County Sher- iff's Offi ce, Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, Shelby Fire and Rescue, Cleveland County EMS, NC Wildlife, React, the First Tee Program, Safe Kids Coalition and others. Seven-year-old Sherron Whitworth was having a blast in the Cleveland County Sheriff's Offi ce SERT (Special Emergency Response Team) vehicle at National Night Out. Three-year-old Bryson Hogue has fun talking to the Shelby Fire and Rescue Fire Truck "Freddie" at the Na- tional Night Out in Uptown Shelby.
