Visitors are 'workers' and each have a task as balls and ducks are hoisted, dropped, launched and pushed. Guests learn that when we work together – great things happen! " Finally, the third floor is home to the Fantastic Plastics exhibit, and has room set aside to host camps, workshops and group celebrations. "Learn how plastics are made by creating with recycled plastic, drawing on the Lexan panels and learning about uses in your world," the website says. There's even more to see at the museum, nestled in between the exhibits, like the talking Mark Twain bust and the gift shop. HISTORY cMoe started its life decades ago at the Washington Square Mall in Evansville as a community project. "I remember playing there as a kid," McReynolds said. However, the museum eventually outgrew its first home, so "we started looking for a new place." The building that now houses cMoe used to be the Evansville Central Library. It was built in the 1930s and sits in the middle of Evansville's attractive downtown district. The museum has preserved the library's historic architecture, and added an art-deco flair to the design. It's within walking dis- tance of the downtown district's restaurants and amenities. If you're looking for a place to learn and play along with your kids this summer, visit the Children's Museum of Evansville at 22 Southeast Fifth Street in downtown Evans- ville. You can call the museum at 812-464- 2663 for more information about exhibits, events, or to make reservations. Temporary street parking is available around the mu- seum, and a public parking garage is also located across the street. cMoe HOURS OF OPERATION Tuesday–Thursday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday: Noon to 5 p.m. Closed Mondays ADMISSION INFORMATION 18 Months and older, $ 8 Members, free
