Ron Sharp honored at retirement celebration Ronald Sharp, of Petersburg, was honored February 16 from 5-7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Petersburg with an open house. His wife, Nyla, approximately 50-60 co-workers, friends and family were there to help Ron celebrate 13 years of service with German American. On Wednesday, Feb. 17, a celebration was hosted at the bank location on Main Street for all customers to extend their appreciation to Ron for the ded- ication and service to the community. Wildlife Adventure Room grand opening is Feb. 28 at Dubois Co. Museum The Dubois County Muse- um, located at 2704 Newton St. in Jasper, will be having a grand opening of the Wildlife Adventure Room Sunday, Feb- ruary 28. The program will start at 1:30 p.m. The museum is open Tues- day through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday from 1-4 p.m. and closed on Monday. Indiana Retired Teachers Foundation offering $2,000 scholarship The Scholarship Commit- tee of the Indiana Retired Teachers Foundation has an opportunity for upcom- ing juniors or seniors en- rolled in an Education Pro- gram at any of Indiana's uni- versities and colleges to ap- ply for a $2,000 scholarship for the 2016/17 school year. Up to ten scholarships will be awarded around the state to students who have a rela- tive that is a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers As- sociation.
