Have you ever had an an- imal escape or it was curi- ous to see what was on the other side of the fence (so to say)? Well in the Logtown area and part of Ayrshire "Swamp Dog" got loose and with the help of friends and neighbors he was cornered in a field and now "Swamp Dog" the Shetland Pony is back home. I have never lassoed an animal before until last Monday I had the pleasure of doing so to a potbellied pig who I guess didn't know what a lasso could do to him. Last Thursday I got to attend a PTO gathering at Ferdinand Elementary where K-third grades per- formed several songs they have learned this year, and all the children had loads of fun with the actions that ac- companied the music. Ky- ana's Kindergarten class sang three songs about an alligator and some mon- keys, and at the end all the grades sang some songs to- gether. We saw their art- work in the hall. Schools will soon have the purple and white are holding on. The rose bush- es are blooming, but not in full bloom yet. Vernon, Norm and I took their last day until the new school year in August, so kids have a fun time and learn all you can for your future. Turkey season starts a drive out of state to Mt. I heard we won't have any overwork your muscles too much since spring is here and it's time to set out those vegetable plants, in that gar- den spot that has to be tilled. The temperatures have been comfortable and the rain isn't up to the amount we should have, but we did get some. As the lights begin to dim more frost until autumn so I put some potted plants out- side on the porch.
