By DAVE FIDLIN Special to the Post MILWAUKEE — It's official. A dormant, high-profile piece of land leading into Milwaukee's downtown from the west will be transitioned into a series of mixed-use developments through the next decade in a maneuver supporters are describing as transformative. After months of speculation and dis- cussion, County Executive Chris Abele has agreed to sell the 10-acre, county- owned Park East corridor to the owners of the Milwaukee Bucks for $1. The move comes on the heels of the recent approval of a funding plan for the NBA team's new downtown arena. Abele and the Bucks owners have asserted the mixture of commercial and residential buildings eyed for the proper- ty will bring $400 million in new develop- ment to Milwaukee's downtown through 2025.
