A Bible based, evangelical church that depends on the inspiration of the Holy Spirit as its guide. We choose to be more Biblically correct, than politically correct. Dr. C. Baxter, Jr., Pastor GLEZEN G.B. CHURCH Sunday school 9:30 a.m.; morning worship 10 :30 a.m.; Wednesday Bible study 6:30 p.m. Remember those on our prayer list, the shut-ins and our lost loved ones. We know that God speaks and expects His children to listen and obey. The Israel- ites heard but didn't really listen because they ignored God and they and their de- scendants suffered greatly because of their choice. Parents are always tell- ing their children what to do. Usually what they say is for the child's benefit. How can we expect our heavenly Father to do less? This is what the Lord Al- mighty says, "Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your heats do not think evil of each other" (Zechariah 7:9 -10). Joseph Roman, Pastor 812-890 -9942 Email: awordfitlyspo- ken@outlook.com Clara E. Walls, Reporter LIVING FAITH CHURCH INTERNATIONAL Many of us have seen the animal documentaries with the aerial view of a herd of antelope being chased by a lion. The lion is targeting the weak antelope for a meal. Most of the time, if the weak one will stay with the herd, it will have protection by be- ing part of the group. Some- times, however, because of fear, the weak one runs away from the pack and is eventu- ally killed and eaten. As Christians, I think we can learn a lot from this sit- uation. The enemy wants to separate us from the fam- ily of Christ. It might be a difficult time you're going through, an offense that you've taken, or just the ene- my lying to you. But the dev- il's main goal is the same. Di- vide and conquer. In I Peter 5:8, God warns us of the en- emy's tactics. "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." Be aware. Don't allow yourself to fall into this trap. God bless.
