Some ask why He did not introduce Himself first. The Bible also says that the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. God was present at that time and told someone what to write. Go to Genesis 3:8. "And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid them- selves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden." They both hid themselves from the presence of the Lord. No "body", only the Spirit was with them talking. We now fast forward to the time after Jesus has come. Jesus seems to favor the youngest disciple. His name is John. God chose John to write several books in the Bible. Faith Temple Christian Church, Spindale Soup Ministry Thursdays at 6pm. All Spirits Start Here By: Evangelist W.C. "Dub" Dellinger - Age 93 He tells us again about the beginning. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness compre- hended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This is not John the disciple, but a cousin of Jesus known as John the Baptist. John's pur- pose was to bear witness of the Light, which was Jesus, so that all men through him might believe. The same is true today for all who receives the Spirit of Redemption. You absolutely cannot know Jesus just by someone saying who Jesus is or by showing you a pic- ture and saying "this is Jesus Christ of the Bible". You must come to His Spirit by accepting Him as your Lord and Savior and ask him to save your Soul from Death which in God's language speaks of Hell. Just as John the Baptist was witness to what Jesus did for him, we today must do the same. Accepting Christ as your personal Savior gets you salvation which is your ticket into Heaven. Witnessing to others not only gets you a "job well done my good and faithful child" from God, but you have the knowledge that you have planted a seed that just may have kept someone from spending eternity in that awful place called Hell, separated from God forev- er. God calls it The Great Commission. You don't have to leave the country to be a missionary. There is a mission field right in your neighborhood, your work place...even your home. Tell someone about Jesus! Listen to Dub's mes- sage each Sunday at 9 am on WADA - 1390AM.
