The white expanse out your front window will again resemble a lawn, and you will want it to look well-kept. If you wait until you think your lawn and landscaping looks like it needs some atten- tion, though, you will be too late. It might be too early to think about bathing suits and barbecues, but it is not too early to start planning your spring outdoor cleanup. Todd Ruedt, owner of Grounds Maintenance Services in New Berlin, said March 15 is the ideal time to begin outdoor cleanup. The field for the NCAA Men's Division 1 basketball tourna- ment is announced on March 15. Set a mental reminder right now that when the ball is tipped, you will be ready to head outside and make your lawn beautiful (when you are not watching basketball). A walk around the yard Ruedt said to start looking around the house when you head outside and assess the blows winter inflicted on your humble abode. Ruedt said to start by looking on and around the house. Check for loose siding and shin- gles, and make sure your gut- ters will be functioning proper- ly when the spring rains hit.
