September 2011 My Two Cents by Jim Koury, Editor and drop him an e-mail and just let him know you saw him in Diversity Rules Magazine! Welcome to the Septem- ber issue of Diversity Rules Magazine online! This month I am excited to have Joshua Ingraham as the fea- tured guest interview. Josh- ua is a phenomenal and well renowned interior designer with notable clients right here in upstate New York. I would encourage you to check out Joshua's interview As each month passes the more excited I be- come about the return of the print copy of this publication. With each digital issue, the read- ership/viewership increases and almost daily I get e-mails from people wanting to contribute material. That is gratifying to me and I appre- ciate the support very much. If anyone is inter- ested in investing in Diversity Rules Magazine please contact me. All legitimate proposals will be considered. It's hard to believe that summer is almost over and signs of fall are upon us. Much has hap- pened this summer! DADT is finally dead, and same sex marriage came to New York. We can only hope America awakens from its stu- por of 2010 and throws the GOP House ma- jority out the door in 2012. We must continue to be diligent in our efforts to prevent going backwards. A country's well being is premised on the progressive policies it passes that ensure equal rights for all. That currently is not hap- peneing in our great country. That must be changed. A new course must be charted that does not involve hate and division and reac- tionary policies. I am confident change will occur once again and progressive government will prevail once more. Change is a constant in our lives. While it may seem very stressful to endure sometimes, it is always for a purpose; to make us stronger and more steadfast in our commitment to our com- munities, other humans and most importantly, to ourselves. Embrace change and welcome it into your lives and see it for what it is; a catalyst to personal growth. Do not fear it. Step out from your comfort zones and do something that will advance you forward instead of living a life of mediocrity and fear. Always strive for that which will complete you and make you whole with the universe and its infinite power. Take charge of your lives and don't look back! Need a speaker for your event!
