Revenue of $134.6 million in the quarter ended June 30 was up from $129.9 million in 2010's second quarter, data show. The net loss of $2.77 million was down from $4.05 million. Cannery has resorts in North Las Vegas and Las Vegas and has also been TRADE SHOWS CONVENTION FOR SHOPPING MALLS RENEWS ITS CONTRACT WITH LVCVA THROUGH 2017 By Buck Wargo staff writer The International Council of Shopping Centers has signed with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to extend its annual trade show through 2017. The ICSC, which has been in Las Vegas for three decades, already had a deal in place to keep the show through 2012. Its RECon show, held in May, attracts more than 30,000 visitors and brings retailers and developers from around the world. The LVCVA said the show contributes more than $31 million in nongaming economic impact each year. The conference focuses on issues and trends in the shopping center industry. It also provides opportunity to network, conduct deals and provides educational seminars for professionals. "RECon is a the premier industry gathering in commercial real estate. We're confident they will continue to have success here in Las Vegas," said Chris Meyer, vice president of sales for the LVCVA. managing the Rampart Casino located at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa in Summerlin. The Rampart management contract expires in March, and JW Marriott doesn't intend to renew it. Instead, JW Marriott will manage the casino with an assist from Las Vegas-based Affinity Gaming (formerly Herbst). Cannery also has The Meadows racetrack and casino in Washington County, PA. Cannery's revenue in the second quarter increased primarily due to the addition of table games at the Meadows, which contributed revenue of $7.6 million. Slot revenue there fell $2.9 million because of economic weakness and competition from the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, the regulatory filing said. Net revenue for the Las Vegas-area properties was flat, the filing said. Cannery's numbers were reported in a regulatory filing by an affiliate of Cannery investor Oaktree Capital Management L.P. of Los Angeles.
