They're a classic pairing, prob- ably going all the way back to the beginning of time. The two of them don't just pair up well at dinner parties, ei- ther; they go hand-in-hand on the TV screen, too. Fire up the ovens and turn the radio dial to the local coun- try music station, y'all: "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" is back for another season Saturday mornings on the Food Net- work. Trisha Yearwood sure has had her finger in a lot of pies. The beautiful Georgia native and Grand Ole Opry member had her first No. 1 single way back in 1991 ("She's in Love With the Boy," from her self-ti- tled debut album), and since then has released 10 more al- bums, earning herself three Grammy Awards, two Acade- my of Country Music Awards and three Country Music Asso- ciation Awards. This season, we'll be tagging along as our hostess shows off some iconic Southern hospital- ity. We'll get to watch as she puts together a party for one of her bandmates, plans an excit- ing family reunion and even just has a day hanging out in the kitchen with her girlfriends. It really is a delight to watch someone so genuine cooking up amazing food in her own home, but fans of her music don't need to worry that she's changing careers. In an inter- view with the Food Network, Yearwood admitted she's defi- nitely been focusing on cook- ing for the past few years as "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" took off, but that music is where her passion really lies. She says if she had to choose between cooking and music, music would win out hands down. Whether you're a longtime Trisha Yearwood fan or just a fan of cooking shows, you real- ly can't go wrong with "Trisha's Southern Kitchen," currently airing Saturday morn- ings on the Food Network.
