"Y %VANGELIST W.C. "Dub" Dellinger !GE Abraham, What a Lesson to Learn From Him The only person Abram wanted to please was God Almighty. So much that his God changed his name to Abraham. What a personal lesson for us to learn. Romans 4:3 says "For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness". Works that many depend on just can not get the job done that the Saviour wants done for you. Stop and think how many do you know that depend on works. Most around the church. The only comfort that your Saviour can be pleased with is when you trust him with your soul rather than the works, which can be granted as a gift. Truly it was once and for all. It is left to us humans to make the decision. He will help because it has to be made for each to get him in Heaven. There is nothing that can take you away from your Saviour if you have the will to stay with him. You can not tell the truth and say "old satan made me do this". Check on your will if you are one of these. Find a true church and listen to the preacher. If not satisfied go to another. Remember this: your soul does not die. It spends eternity somewhere, and you get to choose the place, up or down.
