A few per- fectly cam- bered turns and nine miles later, you’ll pull into the W ildwood Store – about 55 miles into 36W, but if you ask owner Andrew Boehm, he’ll tell you he’s right where he needs to be. – first to a false summit that will take you down the road, with terrific views of the turns to come, to the Beegum Creek cross- ing. That’s when you and your ride will crank it up. Next stop is Platina and the Platina Store, which offers a bite and something to quench your thirst. Platina Road will steer you to Igo, home of the Northern California Veterans Cemetery, a worth- while side trip if you have the time. But the best of what 36W has in store is still to come.
