The Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center is a non-profi t organization serv- ing the well and frail older adults in Cleveland County. A large part of the Neal Senior Center operations depends on contributions from the community. Thank you for your support. There are a wide range of sports designed for individuals at various fitness levels. Some of these sports include bowl- ing, tennis, track, softball, basketball, swimming, horseshoes, croquet, cornhole, billiards, and more. Senior Games is sponsored by the Council on Aging of Cleveland County, Shelby Parks and Recreation, Dover YMCA, H. Lawrence Patrick Senior Center, and Gardner Webb University. Opening Ceremonies will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Gardner Webb University Spangler Stadium in Boiling Springs, N.C. Senior Games will be held April 7 th – 11 th . The public is invited to attend. There is NO COST to attend any of the sporting events. Event Schedules for the week will be accessible at the Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center Front Desk and by website at www.nealseniorcenter.org. Medical Equipment The cost for medical equipment can be pretty high, especially if you only need the equip- ment for a short period of time. The Senior Center has some medical equipment that can be loaned to seniors in Cleveland County. We have wheelchairs, potty chairs and walkers that can be loaned out. If you, or someone you know, need any of this equipment, and you know that you are going to need it for a short time you can contact the Services Department at 482-3488 for more information. If you would like to donate medical equipment to The Senior Center, please contact the Services Department at 704-482-3488. Volunteers for the Service Dept With the growing number of services offered at the Council on Aging/ Senior Center we have a huge need for wonderful volunteers. If you are interested in any of the volunteer areas listed below, please call Kathy Cobb or Heather Ledbetter at 704/482-3488. Only you can make that happen. The Council on Aging Senior Center is doing a Sunny D juice drive for their homebound seniors in their Meals on Wheels Program.
