IAIN JAMES ANDREW Iain James Andrew, 63, of Shelby, NC passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011. A memorial service was held at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with military honors. Mr. Andrew served his country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Brown Short Andrew and his son, Jeffrey Andrew. He is survived by his wife, Linda Andrew of Shelby; two daughters, Allison Andrew of Greenville SC and Rickie Sturgeon of New Jersey; a son, Daniel Andrew of Greenville, SC; two step- sons, Dennis Smith and wife Linda of Newton, NC and Donald Smith of Abilene, TX; a sister, Susan Lloyd and husband David of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren. Service were held at Shelby Presbyterian Church. Burial was held in Sunset Cemetery in Shelby. Mr. Creech served our coun- try in the US Air Force. Mr. Creech was preced- ed in death by his parents, Robert Lide Creech and Rosa Thomasson Creech; five brothers and two sisters. He is survived his wife of 56 years, Valeria Banning Creech; sons, Robert Graham Creech and his wife Tulin of Shelby; John Allen Creech and his wife Frida of Mooresville; his daugh- ter Karen Creech Ferree and her husband Craig of Shelby, four grandchildren; three great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter to arrive in June; two sisters, Dorothy C. Mr. Price served our coun- try as a Staff Sergeant in the 38th Division of the 152nd Infantry Co. C, during WWII, earning two bronze stars and a purple heart. Mr. Price was preceded in death by his wife, Hester “Tommie” Greene Price; his parents, Thomas J. and Pearl Hamrick Price; three sis- ters, Lois McCombs, Helen Aldridge and Selma Davis; and two great-grandchildren.
