Come on up to the big stage and take a bow. First a correction and I'm truly sorry—Heather Booker is Heather Booker Smith who had a birthday on Nov. 12. A belated birthday to T.J. Maier on Oct. 31 who turned 33. Nov. 14—Dagmar Brossman will be 83. Nov. 15—Karley Mills will be 20, Alexis Nicole Gayhart will be 2. Nov. 16—Madeline Messmer. Nov. 17—Keanon Hartley will be 11, Brooklyn Storm McLaughlin will be 5. Nov. 18—Sophie Carnahan will be 10, Peggy Hinkle will be 66, Tammy Moss. Nov. 19—Donnie Stephens will be 16, Johanna Izabell Sweet will be 5. Nov. 20—Patrick and Dana Harrison will celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary; Steve and Deidre Mills will celebrate their 31st wedding anniversary. May all our stars have a great day of fun and may all your wishes come true throughout the year to come. Keep in your heart all our stars in the hospital, the ER, in the nursing home or assisted living, and those who are at home for recovery, or just confined at home. Sylvia Wheeler is better after some medicine changes. My mom is feeling better with home health people. Kyana fell on concrete and has a boo boo between her eyes and the tip of her nose. Many stars need our prayers, visits or phone calls to help them feel better with a smile and a laugh. Events coming up in Winslow and the surrounding areas: Nov. 14—"Clouds in a Jar" from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Winslow Library. Nov. 18—Winslow Town Hall meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 21—Winslow Lions Club at 7 p.m. at The Trading Post. Nov. 28—Thanksgiving Day, turkey dinner with family and friends, also first day of Hanukkah. Winslow Senior Citizens meet at the Community Center on Monday and Tuesday. Petersburg Senior Citizens meet in the Courthouse basement Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Interesting things to do on Sadie Hawkins Day is where the girl asks the boy, which requires the girl to catch the boy first in a short race on Nov. 13. Clean the refrigerator day, Button day, Have a party with your bear day, homemade bread day, and take a hike day. These are fun things to do on a boring day. With the leaves falling, the fall time beauty is about gone with the different col- ors of red, yellow, brown and rust, so I hope you saw nature's glory and admired how the colors painted a picture for you. This time of year is good for campfires and marshmallow roasts, and in Brownstown this was done one evening with a family of neighbors. It looks cool and memories will be everlasting. We saw a real nice 10 point antler that was going to be mounted for someone, so to all the hunters good luck and get that big buck that you hunt for each year. Enjoy the venison. The weather is changing everyday, so when you leave the house be sure to take along a jacket and your winter coat until the weather decides to stay in the comfortable stage. Extra blankets may be required or you may raise the temperature in your house to keep the chill away. Don't forget about the animals when the temps drop to freezing. I have heard we might get snow, so we will just have to look and wait. Lights are about to dim for this week and we wish you all good health and may your week be filled with joy, laughter, helpfulness to others, and always smile, wave and say "hi" to everyone you see.
