A strong high pressure system will dominate the weather over the Eastern half of the nation with cold nights, and brisk, sunny days. The weather models show the next storm (see the Low out West?) will begin to carve out a mean looking system in the Deep South by later next week. That system could be a very interesting weathermaker when it arrives, with cold rains in one sector, thunderstorms in another, and snow on the backside with cold air pouring in afterwards.
