After more than a year's worth of celebrations around the world, Harley-Davidson will bring its 110th anniversary party home at the end of August. "We expect between 130,000 and 150,000 people due to the Harley-Davidson celebration," said Carrie Woods, public relations specialist at VISIT Milwaukee, the local convention and visitors bureau. "As for the businesses that will be affected, they will include hotels, restaurants, retail, gas stations, campgrounds – pretty much everything." The economic impact will be in the millions of dollars, she added. The Labor Day weekend, four days will be filled with more 60 bands, features three other main stage entertainers, activities at the Harley-Davidson Museum, parades and rides, and shared experiences of millions of fans from every corner of the world. The official celebration will be held Aug. 29 through Sept. 1, with many events at the Summerfest grounds. A 30th anniversary celebration of Harley Owners Group chapters will also be held with special events for members at the festival park on Milwaukee's lakefront.
