10 ENTERTAINMENT EXTRA By Raye Smith TV Media WHAT'S NEW ON NETFLIX "Never Have I Ever" - Season 4 Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, "Turn- ing Red," 2022) and her friends return for their greatest adventure yet — senior year — when the fourth and final season of "Never Have I Ever" premieres Thursday, June 8, on Netflix. In this coming-of- age story based on series co-creator Mindy Kaling's ("The Office") own teenage years, modern-day, first-generation Indian American teenager Devi deals with young love, friendships and continuing grief from losing her father in the first season. As Devi and her best friends, Fabiola (Lee Rodriguez, "Class of Lies") and Eleanor (Ramona Young, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow"), encounter all kinds of new milestones in their lives and grapple with the college admissions process, prom prep and their impending graduation, they're still bound to hit a roadblock or two. Michael Cimino ("Love, Victor") joins the cast as bay boy Ethan this sea- son, while returning cast members include Darren Barnet ("Love Hard," 2021), Jaren Lewison ("Tag," 2018), Benjamin Norris ("Superstore"), Niecy Nash ("The Rookie: Feds"), Richa Moorjani ("Fargo"), Poorna Jagannathan ("The Night Of"), Megan Suri ("Atypical") and Ranjita Chakravarty ("It's a Mismatch," 2009), with professional tennis leg- end John McEnroe returning to his role as series narrator. WHAT'S NEW ON HULU "It's Always Sunny in Philadel- phia" - Season 16 Back for a 16th Season, the riot- ously funny hit comedy series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" premieres Thursday, June 8, on Hulu, with two new episodes. Following the owners of Paddy's Pub in Phila- delphia as they attempt to survive another year, this season sees Mac (Rob McElhenney, "Mythic Quest") battle with allergies and long- distance dating, Charlie (Charlie Day, "I Want You Back," 2022) face his long-forgotten sisters, Dee (Kai- tlin Olson, "Hacks") fight for rent control and women's athletics, Den- nis (Glenn Howerton, "A.P. Bio") struggle with his mental health and Frank (Danny DeVito, "Matilda," 1996) yearn for the past. All the while, a few figures from their past rear their heads as the gang work to navigate the world. Co-created by stars, writers and executive producers McElhenney and How- erton, Season 16 of "It's Always Sunny" is also executive produced by Day, Rob Rosell ("New Girl"), Scott Marder ("The Mick"), Victor Hsu ("The Patient") and "Mythic Quest's" Michael Rotenberg, Nick Frenkels, Megan Ganz and David Hornsby. WHAT'S NEW ON PRIME "Tribunal Justice" - Season 1 Court is back in session with the new Amazon Freevee series "Tribunal Justice," which premieres Friday, June 9, on Prime Video. Created by Judge Judy Sheindlin from the iconic "Judge Judy" reality series, this new unscripted courtroom series sees a new group of experienced judges adjudicating real-life cases. The series is presided over by Judge Patricia DiMango, former New York State Supreme Court Justice and Administrative Judge of the New York State Supreme Court, Criminal Term, Kings County; Judge Tanya Acker, an experienced civil litigator and former Judge Pro Tem in Los An- geles; and Judge Adam Levy, former Putnam County District Attorney and an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and New York Prosecutors Training Institute. "Tribunal Justice" is executive pro- duced by Judge Judy Sheindlin and Scott Koondel ("Judy Justice") and co-executive produced by Sandra Al- len ("Relative Justice"). WHAT'S NEW ON APPLE TV+ "The Crowded Room" The new, gripping 10-episode lim- ited thriller series, "The Crowded Room," premieres Friday, June 9, on Apple TV+. Starring and executive produced by Tom Holland ("Spider- Man: Homecoming," 2017), the series follows Danny Sullivan (Hol- land), a man who is arrested follow- ing his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. Told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried, "The Dropout"), Danny's life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering rev- elation. A co-production between Apple Studios and New Regency, "The Crowded Room" comes from Academy Award-winning writer Akiva Goldsman ("A Beautiful Mind," 2001) and is directed by Mona Fastvold ("The World to Come," 2020), Kornel Mundruczo ("Pieces of a Woman," 2020) and Alan Taylor ("Game of Thrones"). Will Chase ("Nashville"), Thomas Sadoski ("The Newsroom"), Zach- ary Golinger ("Barry") and Sam Var- tholomeos ("Bridge and Tunnel") also star. WHAT'S NEW ON PARAMOUNT+ "Joe Pickett" - Season 2 The neo-western crime drama "Joe Pickett," based on the work and characters of novelist C.J. Box, premieres its second season Sun- day, June 4, on Paramount+, with two new episodes. New episodes stream weekly thereafter. The series follows Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett (Michael Dorman, "Patriot") and his family as they live their lives in the small town of Saddlestring, surrounded by the wilderness of Yellowstone National Park, during a time of political and socioeconomic change. But when a murder victim winds up on Joe's doorstep in the first season, their lives get infi- nitely more complicated as they find themselves swept up in a conspira- cy. Now, heading into Season 2, Joe discovers that a hunter murdered in the mountains is just one in a series of gruesome murders. In order to solve the case and catch the killer, Joe must navigate the area's eccen- tric inhabitants, including a radical anti-hunting activist and a ghoulish set of twins living off the grid. How- ever, as Joe and his wife, Marybeth (Julianna Guill, "The Resident"), dig deeper, they discover that the murdered men weren't as innocent as they seemed.
