15 Lac Lawrann Conservancy Birding in West Bend This adult class will explore Lac Lawrann as well as Quaas Creek, Ridge Run, and Regner Parks in search of resident birds and those migrating through. New and experienced birders are welcome to attend as we learn species identification and bird calls. Ages 18+ | $30R/$45NR | Class #: 2050801 Mondays, April 10–May 15| 9:00-10:30 a.m. Ozaukee–Washington County Birding Coalition Lac Lawrann is a co-sponsor of the newly formed birding coalition, an umbrella organization promoting bird conservation and educational awareness. The coalition consists of Lac Lawrann Conservancy, Riveredge Nature Center, Mequon Nature Preserve, and Friends of the Cedarburg Bog. The Coalition offers free information and public programming. Details can be found at facebook.com/OWBirdingCoalition. Junior Naturalist Camp Get ready to get dirty and learn along the way! These hands-on, week-long camps will explore animals, habitats, science, and much more. Campers can sign up for multiple camps and need to bring a bag lunch every day. We will cook out the final day and roast s'mores. We will be biking from Lac Lawrann each day to different parks in West Bend, playing pickleball, archery, swimming, hiking, kayaking, and much more! Campers will need to supply their own bike (secured at the Conservancy during camp), helmet, lunch, and snacks. We will be biking approximately 30 miles over the four day camp. The Wellness events will run from May through October. Wildflower & Perennial Sale Explore hundreds of plant varieties for purchase, including garden perennials, herbs, trees, shrubs, wildflowers for wetland, woodland and prairie gardens, as well as handmade trellises.
