Brainerd Dispatch • February 26 - March 4, 2023 •19 "Snowfall" - Season 6 The sixth and final season of the FX crime drama "Snowfall" premieres Thursday, Feb. 23, on Hulu. Over the course of the series' previous five seasons, "Snow- fall" has chronicled the story of how an off-the-books CIA operation contributed to the destruction that rock cocaine leveled upon the vibrant community of South Central L.A. in the 1980s. Now, Season 6 catches back up with the cast in October 1986, as civil war threat- ens to destroy the Saint family. A desperate Franklin (Damson Idris, "Megan Leavey," 2017) is forced to rob his Aunt Louie (Angela Lewis, "Top Five," 2014) and Uncle Jerome (Amin Joseph, "To Live and Die and Live," 2023) after being wiped out by former CIA of- ficer Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson, "The Wilds"). Meanwhile, Louie has taken over Franklin's role as Teddy's sole buyer, undercutting her nephew and cre- ating a competing empire in the process. As Franklin faces losing everyone he loves and everything he's built for himself, he faces down the KGB, DEA, CIA and the corrupt, fully militarized LAPD C.R.A.S.H. units. Created for television by Eric Amadio ("Stuntmen," 2009), John Singleton ("Boyz n the Hood," 1991) and Dave Andron ("Justified"), "Snowfall" also stars Isaiah John ("All Day and a Night," 2020), Sergio Peris-Mencheta ("Rambo: Last Blood," 2019), Michael Hyatt ("True Detective"), Gail Bean ("P-Valley"), DeRay Davis ("21 Jump Street," 2012), Evan Allen-Gessesse ("Raise Your Hand," 2021), De'aundre Bonds ("Dope," 2015), Chris- tine Horn ("BMF") and Taylor Polidore ("All American: Homecoming").
