Both John Burns Real Estate Consulting and RCL Advisors have named River Islands in Lathrop as the most successful master- planned community in Northern California for the third year in a row. This ranking comes as a result of compil- ing the sales figures from 500 master- planned communities across the country. More than 31,000 buy- ers purchased homes in the Top 50 master plans studied. Most of the master plans in the top spots on the report are located in Florida, Texas and the South- west states, where zon- ing is less restrictive and prices lower than the West. River Islands earned the No. 1 spot for Northern Califor- nia master plans, and was also listed as No. 3 in the state of Cali- fornia.
