Sweet Al's Bakery offered treats to brides, hoping to make them aware of the new business the owner Allison Kite opened in October. Couples select services at bridal expo By Janice Barniak SG Star-Times Editor editor@sgstartimes.com Gibson County Bridal Show brought out 24 vendors to the Toyota Events Center Sunday, Feb. 20, offering a one-stop shop for prospective brides to pin down menus, venues, decor and more. Local businesses like Pap- pa Bear's Catering, Claire Voyant Events and Designs, R'z Cafe and Catering, Princ- eton Country Club, Marcy King State Farm, Attractions Salon and Inside the Frame Photography took advantage of the chance to show what lo- cal places could offer brides. Rileigh Lear, promoting the Bauerhaus venue and ca- tering, said she came to Gib- son County's bridal show be- cause it's a different market of brides, and the clients in the area are very good. Plus, the Gibson County event draws down Vincennes brides who may be interested in their ser- vices. She said she loves working in the wedding business. "There's something differ- ent every day, every week, every month. You just nev- er know what you're going to come up with, working with the family and friends on the day," she said. Photographer Libby Pear- son said the event was her first time promoting herself to Gib- son County and she was glad to meet future brides at the Gibson County Bridal Show. "I love how each wedding is unique. I love love," she said. Allison Kite, owner of Sweet Al's Bakery, which opened in October, came to Gibson County from Evansville's west side to meet prospective cli- ents she might not otherwise meet at her location. She said the benefit for brides is seeing so many choices in one place. "You talk to all different brides, and see many differ- ent options for weddings, and learn what brides are wanting to do," she said.
