They try to help two siblings protect their land against someone who's intent on taking it away from them, and they get assistance from both relatives and complete strangers in the quest. Though there are some nods to contemporary humor along the way, by and large, the story sticks to the time-tested elements that have kept Tom and Jerry audience favorites since they were created by cartoon titans William Hanna and Joseph Barbera more than 80 years ago. ››› (Also on Digital) "TWO DEATHS OF HENRY BAKER" Gil Bellows ("The Shawshank Redemption," "Ally McBeal") has the title role in this melodrama, a modern Western about a family rivalry over possession of a fortune in stolen coins. Henry is the relative who has the treasure, making him the target of a corrupt policeman (Tony Curran) whose actions lead to Henry's incarceration. During that prison stay, Henry's son (Sebastian Pigott) remains on the outside and takes charge of the coins – and once Henry is released, his brother and the latter's own son intend to keep making life tough for him. Sergio Di Zio ("Flashpoint") also stars. ››› (R: AS, P, V) (Also on Digital and On Demand) "FUN WITH DICK AND JANE" The original 1977 version of the crime comedy – part of "Through the Decades: 1970s Collection" that compiles 11 Columbia Pictures releases – is a truly funny satire that pairs George Segal and Jane Fonda as an affluent couple forced to adjust their lifestyle after the husband loses his high-paying aerospace job. Finding it tough to hold onto new careers and to rely on social services, they opt to become amateur thieves; though they have a rocky start, they eventually become proficient at the criminal life, to the degree that they make the husband's ex- boss (an amusing Ed McMahon) one of their targets. Segal also appears opposite Barbra Streisand in another of the set's titles, the screen adaptation of the stage play "The Owl and the Pussycat." ››› (PG: AS, P, V) "AMERICAN MASTERS: BECOMING HELEN KELLER" The remarkable woman who overcame her lack of sight and hearing to become one of the country's most esteemed authors and activists is profiled in this PBS documentary. The subject of the play and Oscar-winning movie "The Miracle Worker," which traced her famous relationship with teacher Anne Sullivan, Keller is recalled through archival photographs and film clips, and interviews with relevant historians and scholars. With sequences of actress Cherry Jones reading from Keller's works (and sign-language interpretation provided), the program is narrated by psychotherapist and disability- rights advocate Rebecca Alexander, sister of NBC News' Peter Alexander. ››› (Not rated: AS) "MICKEY ONE' There's also a "Through the Decades" collection for Columbia Pictures' product of the 1960, and that 12-film set boasts this 1965 drama that was ahead of its time ... and ahead of the landmark project on which star Warren Beatty and director Arthur Penn would reteam and make movie history, "Bonnie and Clyde." Beatty plays a standup comedian who runs afoul mobsters, then switches cities and tries to continue his career– though he fears that if he becomes successful and famous, his enemies will find him too easily. He then decides to locate them first. Co-stars include veteran character actor Jeff Corey. "Lilith," another title in the collection, also features Beatty. ››› (Not rated: AS, P, V) "ROBIN ROBERTS PRESENTS: MAHALIA" The "Good Morning America" co-host has been deliberate in choosing subjects for the Lifetime movie franchise that she's been executive-producing, and a legendary gospel singer and civil-rights activist is the subject of this award-nominated biography. It stars Tony nominee and Grammy winner (both for "The Color Purple") Danielle Brooks – who's also about to be seen in the HBO Max series "Peacemaker"– as the iconic Mahalia Jackson, who hoped her fame from her vocal talent would help her advance her social causes. Tony winner Kenny Leon ("A Raisin in the Sun") directed the film, and Marci T. House ("Chesapeake Shores") is among the co-stars. However, this expectedly is very much Brooks' show, and she does a lot to help ensure that the music is great here. ››› (Not rated: AS ) "Mahalia" "The first play that I ever did in school was 'Our Town.' And I don't even remember the part that I played, but I started doing theater both as an actor and studying lighting, tech and props. Which has served me well on a show like this, when I have 1,000 props and lots of them are sharp." – Sophia Bush of "Good Sam" on CBS " i A t s a li W o I lo S S "Obviously, you take a lot from the books and then also the scripts when building a character, and you kind of merge those all together. But yeah, the books were never far away. I also did them in the audiobooks, so I know them back-to-front, inside- out. I'm ready to move on now to the next few." – Nicholas Ralph of "All Creatures Great and Small on Masterpiece" on PBS " lo t b y a t a t t o o – " S o Towne Park is now Medicaid Waiver approved.
