Weissgerber's younger brother and business partner Hans said Jack Weissgerber died at home late Sunday night. He was 75. "Jack was a true Renaissance man," said Waukesha Rotary Club member Rick Kobriger, who often worked with Weissgerber as chairman of the Waukesha BluesFest committee. "He could converse with anyone about just about any topic. He was always such a joy to be around." "He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed entertaining people, whether at his restaurants or by playing his accordion for us to sing along to at Rotary Club meetings," Kobriger said. "And we always smiled with him. We're just going to miss him so much." Family friend Brian Dorow counted Weissgerber among his mentors and called him "the most incredible person." "His outreach to people – his loyal friendships, his hard work and his family – those were the things that summarize Jack Weissgerber," Dorow said.
