Hugely adrift amid the French culture, the very American dad gets unexpected assistance from an overseas actress (Camille Cottin) who empathizes with his situation. Directed and co-written by Tom McCarthy, an Oscar winner for his script for "Spotlight," the picture had its release delayed for the better part of a year by the coronavirus pandemic. ››› (R: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray and On Demand) "DON'T BREATHE 2" The original thriller rightfully has a devoted following, thanks largely to Stephen Lang's intense portrayal of a blind military veteran unwisely targeted by home invaders ... and this sequel benefits greatly from his presence again. Written by fellow returnees Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues, the follow-up makes the Lang character the guardian of a young girl (Madelyn Grace) while he's trying to keep a low profile near Detroit. When she's kidnapped by criminals, they have no idea who they're dealing with when her protector comes to her rescue – but they'll learn, fast. Brendan Sexton III also stars, and Lang is an executive producer as well here. ››› (R: AS, P, GV) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "MIDDLE EARTH ULTIMATE COLLECTOR'S EDITION" The hugely popular, Peter Jackson-directed films of the J.R.R. Tolkien sagas "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" get elaborate showcasing in this set that offers the three films of each franchise in both 4K Ultra HD and remastered Blu-ray. Comprised of 31 discs, the fantasy collection offers both the theatrical and extended editions of each movie, with such added attractions as a related special presentation made for the Cannes Film Festival. As devotees of the pictures know well by now, the casts include such notables as Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett, Liv Tyler, Martin Freeman, Dominic Monaghan, Sean Astin, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Bean, Andy Serkis, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, John Rhys-Davies and Hugo Weaving. ›››› (PG-13 and unrated versions: AS, N, V) "WALKER: SEASON ONE" Chuck Norris had a very long series run as the title Texas Ranger who was really good with his fists and feet ... and while this reboot of the show doesn't make the hero as adept at martial arts, it has given star Jared Padaelcki and The CW a successful follow-up to that actor's show "Supernatural." In this version, Cordell Walker is a widower and father still struggling to cope with the recent loss of his wife (played in flashbacks by Padaelcki's spouse Genevieve) as he tackles cases with his new partner (Lindsey Morgan, "The 100"). Kale Culley and Violet Brinson portray Walker's children, and Mitch Pileggi ("The X-Files") and Molly Hagan appear as his parents; Keegan Allen, Coby Bell and Odette Annable also are featured. This home-video set arrives just a couple of days before the show's second season premieres. ››› (Not rated: AS, P, V) "THE INCREDIBLE HULK: THE COMPLETE SERIES" Long before the Marvel Comics universe really had a foothold in other media, this CBS show – now on Blu-ray – was a durable success, thanks largely to the serious approach it took to the subject matter. Bill Bixby (who would apply his acting sensibilities to becoming a top television director) smartly played it straight as Dr. David Bruce Banner, whose gamma- ray experimentation on himself results in his transformation into the muscle-expanding, green-skinned Hulk (portrayed at that stage by Lou Ferrigno) whenever he gets mad. Banner becomes a wandering do-gooder, but as he warns his reporter nemesis McGee (Jack Colvin), "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." Of sure interest to classic-TV devotees, the Hulk's voice for the first two of the series' five seasons was supplied by Ted Cassidy, alias Lurch on "The Addams Family." ››› (Not rated: AS, V) "THE SUICIDE SQUAD" Several years after another film made a run at one of the most offbeat parts of the DC Comics family, this entry from writer-director James Gunn ("Guardians of the Galaxy") took another shot at it. An offbeat group of villains with special abilities – including Harley Quinn, with Margot Robbie reprising the role from previous projects, as well as Bloodsport (Idris Elba) and Peacemaker (John Cena, who will be back in the part in his own movie soon) – is released from prison and sent to implement a dangerous mission on a remote island, with enemies not only in front of them but also within their own ranks. A military colonel (Joel Kinnaman) goes along on the assignment to keep them in line ... and good luck with that. Michael Rooker, Viola Davis, Nathan Fillion ("The Rookie"), Jai Courtney, Alice Braga ("Queen of the South") and "Saturday Night Live's" Pete Davidson also are featured, with Sylvester Stallone voicing the character King Shark. DVD extra: "making-of" documentary. ››› (R: AS, N, P, GV) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "The Suicide Squad" "I did read it, and until you're kind of not busy doing things in your life in a busy world, you don't really grasp it. I think in the last year-and-a-half, it was easier to grasp, because we're all sitting still." – Heather Locklear, seen recently in "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff: The Kristine Carlson Story" on Lifetime, on the book that inspired the movie " y d a r la e w H r t C o t "We still share that sense of, 'It's work, and you do the best that you can do,' but watching him as my dad when I was growing up, all the stuff he did was pretty amazing. He's a lot of fun to sit and have a glass of wine with, that's for sure." – David Boreanaz of "SEAL Team" on CBS, on his father, a now- retired broadcaster of the Philadelphia and Buffalo markets " o t b d u w a h w D " o r P m Towne Park is now Medicaid Waiver approved.
