Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
formerly Saint Mary's Parish,
dates back to 1853 and the
existing building was built in
1906. Its twin Gothic towers
stretch 120 feet tall.
Sacred Heart was designed
by William H. Weeks. He
employed the elements
of both the Gothic and
Romanesque styles. A
stunning stained glass rose
window that overlooks Red
Bluff's Main Street boasts a
diameter of 14 feet.
The Sacred Heart building is
the oldest solid brick church
in Northern California and
Sacred Heart is the oldest
church in Red Bluff.
