Jersey shore IMAGES The Timeless Astrophotography and Seascapes of Jack Fusco j e r s e y s h o r e • s p r i n g 2 0 1 3 A 48 ward winning photographer Jack Fusco started his work as a way to document his travels throughout the United States and Europe but it soon became his main form of creative expression. "Too often we pass by natural beauty or fail to appreciate the things we are surrounded by every day. Through my photography I hope to preserve what has been forgotten and renew that which we have grown accustomed to," says the Toms River artist. Fusco's work focuses on three main genres: astrophotography, black and white minimalism, and seascapes. Says Fusco, "I set out to capture specific emotions that I want to convey with each image. I choose long exposures to not just capture a specific moment, but to convey movements that help complete a vision. Whether it is stars that seem to streak across the entire sky or a jetty that disappears into a colorless ocean, it is a view not seen by simply looking through the camera." Presented here are a selection Fusco's images, as well as comments by the artist, that capture the enduring beauty of the Jersey Shore as rarely seen.
