Born in Cleveland County, on April 20, 1937, he was a son of the late Clayton Earl and Mozelle Hudson Earl. Mr. Earl served our coun- try in the US Marine Corp. In addition to his parents he is preced- ed in death by two brothers, Johnny Earl and Bobby Earl and a sister, Sue Turner. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Reep Earl; two sons, Todd Earl and wife, Maureen of Charlotte and Greg Earl of Lawndale; brother, Wayne Earl of Lawndale; sister, Linda Marshall of Lawndale; and four grandchildren. The funeral service was held May 24, 2021 at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating. The burial followed the ser- vice in the church cemetery. James Ray Green; two sisters, Kathy Newton Parker and Faye Newton Parker; and a sister-in-law, Janice Newton. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Green of Lawndale; two grandsons; two great grandchildren; brother, Arnold Green and wife, Anne of Shelby; and sister, Jo Nell McNeilly and husband, Jack of Lawndale. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Edward McCraw. Nancy is survived by her husband, Gene Matheney; her three children, Patti Matheney and husband Michael Schrom of Ghent, NY, David and wife Kim Matheney of Mooresboro, NC, Gina and husband Billy Fredell of Shelby, NC; seven grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
