Born in Cleveland County on November 23, 1996, he was the son of Shannon Wade Murray and Sunshine Aldridge Murray. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Leigh. In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Stevie Murray and Cassidy Beaver both of Shelby and Hunter Wilson and Jaycie Wilson both of Cherryville; AND grandparents, Tana Aldridge, James Aldridge, Barbara Leigh and Wade Murray all of Shelby. She was born June 8, 1963, in Radford, VA, to the late Frank Creger Jr. and Joanne Starnes Smith. She is preceded in death by her Father, Frank Creger Jr.; grandmothers, Jeannette Starnes and Audrey Creger; grandfathers, Charles Starnes and Frank Creger Sr. Those left to cherish Carrie's memory are her husband, Mike Upshaw; daughter, Erin Upshaw; son, Jeffrey Upshaw; mother, Joanne Smith (of Shelby, NC); step-father, Stephen Smith (of Shelby, NC); sister, Shannon Itzaina; step-broth- er Shawn Smith (of Shelby, NC); and step-brother Ryan Smith (of Shelby, NC). Born in Cleveland County, on June 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Clemmie McCoy Wright and Nutrice Novella Greene Wright. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Stough A. Willis and two brothers, Hoyle Wright and Norris Wright. He is survived by his three children, Gary Beason and wife Betsy, Ronald McCraw, Jr. and wife Terri, and Shelly Williams and husband Jeffrey, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a broth- er, Bryan McCraw and wife Kathy, and a sister, Linda Houser and husband Lance. Born September 22, 1947 in Cleveland County, Ronald was the son of the late Lucy McCraw Horn and was pre- ceded in death by his wife, Katherine Terry McCraw; and two brothers, Kenneth McCraw and Joel McCraw. She is survived by her hus- band, Robert G. VIRGINIA JEAN HUFFSTETLER Virginia Jean Huffstetler, age 88, left this life the morning of December 13, 2020 due to complications from Covid-19. Jean was the youngest of four children born to P.C. and Lucy Sellers Huffstetler of Kings Mountain. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, P.C. and Lucy Sellers Huffstetler, her sisters: Alese Ferreira (Tony), and Kathleen Winburn (Bean); and a brother, Carney Huffstetler (Ruby).
