BUT NOT IF YOU ARE ELDERLY... AND HAVE NO FOOD. PLEASE TAKE PART IN THE NEAL CENTER'S "CHRISTMAS FOOD DRIVE" The Neal Center has a goal to provide homebound seniors with enough food for six meals during this Christmas holiday season. A total of 140 of each of these items are especially requested: • 18 oz. jars of creamy peanut butter • Saltine crackers • Vienna sausage • Canned beef stew • Single servings of Sunny D citrus beverage • packages containing individual servings of oatmeal or grits (Please make sure the items are well within the expiration dates- Otherwise, they cannot be distributed) Monetary donations are also welcome An EXCELLENT mission project for church groups or organizations! Please contact the Neal Center at 704/481-7380 and ask for Pau- lette or 704/481-7390 and ask for Heather to obtain collection information. PLEASE BRING YOUR DONATION NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8th Please help make this Christmas merry for 140 homebound seniors! Never take being warm for granted It's a luxury some wish they had... Please take part in the "KEEP CLEVELAND COUNTY WARM" COAT DRIVE Donations of new and gently used coats and outerwear are being accept- ed at the Neal Center through December 3. In addition to coats, dona- tions can include hoodies, socks, scarves, gloves, shoes, jackets and hats. Donations will be distributed in schools, non-profi t organizations and shelters in Cleveland County, where they will be given to children and families who need warm clothing for this winter. The center is currently closed, but staff is working. The center will accept donations by appointment only, Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-4:00pm. To arrange a drop-off for your items, please call the Neal Center at 704/482-3488 when you drive up to the front of the building. A staff member will come out and meet you to collect your donation. Let's keep the people of Cleveland County warm this winter! Winter weather is around the corner! In case of snow, ice, sleet, or freezing rain, call the Neal Center's "Winter Line" to see if we are open, delayed or closed.
