"Doing your homework upfront gives you a clear understanding of how the company operates and how your project will progress," says Diane Welhouse, executive director of NARI Milwaukee and certified kitchen and bath remod- eler. "Having that information in advance helps homeowners know what to expect, which means proj- ects go smoother and easier for both the homeowner and the con- tractor."
