JUAN GABRIEL MORENO President & Founder JGMA Moreno is president and founder of JGMA (Juan Gabriel Moreno Architects). Moreno was born in Bogota, Colombia, and studied architecture at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In 2010 he launched JGMA to transform Chicago's diverse communities with his architecture. In 2014, JGMA was recognized by Crain's Business as one of the architecture firms reshaping Chicago. Moreno was named a 2017 Business Leader of Color and a 2016 Curbed groundbreaker for his efforts to improve the functionality of the built world. JOANN P. ORNELAS- BAUER President & CEO Dynamic Utility Solutions In 2016, Ornelas-Bauer co-founded an electric utility construction contracting company known as Dynamic Utility Solutions. Dynamic provides labor services to build the poles and wires of the electric distribution system in the Midwest, specifically in the ComEd territory. From its initial seven employees the company grew to more than 90 today. The culture of Dynamic can be described by "Be Safe, Work Hard, Take Pride. The focus is on right actions to yield the right decisions for a safe work environment. DIANA RODRIGUEZ ZABA President ServiceMaster Restoration by Zaba Rodriguez-Zaba is president of ServiceMaster Restoration by Zaba. In the middle of the 2008 recession, she launched two ServiceMaster brands. Her business has grown to become one of Illinois' most successful franchises. One of her biggest accomplishments is being one of 40 founders of the Women's Entrepreneurship Institute in the Coleman Center at DePaul University. This is the nation's first institute to integrate academic learning, research, incubation, funding and public policy studies specifically for women. SAM SANCHEZ CEO Samco Enterprises, EMC Construction Samuel Sanchez is the CEO of Samco Enterprises, an accomplished hospitality company, where he oversees all facets of the business. Sanchez has served as corporate secretary of the Illinois Restaurant Association since 2015. He currently serves as CEO of EMC Construction, a construction company that offers job skill training and employment opportunities to the community. MAURICIO SANCHEZ CEO Sanchez & Rivera Title LLC In 1995, Sanchez & Rivera Title was founded by Mauricio Sanchez & Ron Rivera and became the first Hispanic- owned title insurance company in the United States. Sanchez & Rivera has expanded beyond Chicago and serves clients throughout the United States and Mexico. Sanchez is an advocate for consumer education, entrepreneurship, Hispanic homeownership and higher education in the Latino community. He currently serves as president of the Hispanic Bankers Foundation. JOSE D VEGA Partner/Owner La Galera Produce Jose Vega started La Galera Produce in 2004 with his twin brother Francisco Vega Jr. and their father Jose F. Vega. The family has a long history in the produce industry, initially in Mexican produce, and two years ago expanding to include American products. Their business now has more than 50,000 square feet of warehouses in the Chicago Produce Market. They have also grown their family brand Galera Fresh, which comes from the family's farm in Mexico. JONATHAN VILLEGAS Owner and Jewelry Designer Wolf Of Madison Villegas grew up in the family's Mexican restaurant business, and when he saw how to manage and grow a successful business, he realized that any dream can become reality. He studied emergency medical service and fire science in college to pursue a career as a firefighter/paramedic but then stumbled on the jewelry industry and fell in love it. He invented a system that allowed customers to completely control the final cost of a project so they are happy, confident, and relaxed.
