HOME FEBRUARY 2020 4 NARI spring show offers many home improvement ideas Submitted photo For anyone looking to fix up the home, the NARI Spring Home Improvement Show at Wisconsin State Fair Park will be a hot spot this weekend. If you've got home improvement or remodeling questions, the NARI Spring Home Improvement Show has answers and qualified contractors who can get the job done. From Friday through Sunday, more than 250 NARI Milwaukee members who are par- ticipating in the Spring Home Improvement Show will be on hand to answer questions and share advice and insight. The NARI Spring Home Improvement Show runs for three days at the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park, 8200 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis. The show is packed wall to wall with hundreds of trust- ed, local professionals who are ready and willing to share information on whatever your home may need — inside or out. The exciting SkillsUSA carpentry compe- tition is also returning this year. Attendees can watch in real time as teams of high school students from throughout Wisconsin work against the clock to claim the state title from Barneveld High School, who has won the past two years. The teams have a limited amount of time to complete a struc- ture by framing walls and a roof and installing windows, electrical and plumb- ing. Plus, this year's show includes special ele- ments focused on sustainability and creat- ing a healthy home. The show features a gallery of four different student-designed rooms that are inspired by well-being and sustainability. In addition, on Sunday morning, Kelsey Jorissen Olesen from Green Willow Homestead will talk about "Sustainable Choices for your Home." And, since it's Valentine's weekend, there are a few "sweet and tender" highlights, including a macaron demonstration on Sat- urday afternoon, yoga meet-up Sunday morning, brunch-inspired cocktail demon- stration on Sunday and a sauna giveaway. Anyone visiting the show can enter to win a luxurious, two-person sauna from Good Health Saunas. Simply visit either of the two show information booths.
