Andalcio as its newest board member, representing DuPage County. Director Andalcio replaces Director Patrick J. Durante, who served on the board with distinction for 20 years. Director Andalcio's career spans from his earliest ventures with electronics, distribution, manu- facturing, and information technology companies, later as a Board Director of the Illinois State Toll High- way and Chairman of the Engineering Committee, to his current role as CEO of Wynndalco Enterprises, LLC. Director Andalcio has completed graduate busi- ness study at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (AMP), the Stanford University Alumni Graduate Executive Program, the Notre Dame Corpo- rate Governance Executive Program, and the Univer- sity of Illinois Entrepreneurial Studies. Pedro Cevallos Pedro Cevallos will serve on the Board of Trust- ees of Governors State University. Cevallos is the president of PECECA Business Consultants, a man- agement consulting firm which he started in March 2016. He spent 28 years prior as the founding president and CEO of Primera Engineers, where he worked on over 400 engineering projects. During his tenure at Primera, the company grew from a startup to a nationally-ranked firm, as demonstrated by the 380 position in the prestigious ENR 500 list of the largest engineering companies in the USA. Cevallos has served as President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois, District Governor for Rotary International, District 6450 and Past-Pres- ident of the Rotary Club of Chicago and chairman of the board of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Com- merce. Adrian Soto Soto was named Executive Direc- tor of Greater Southwest Development Corporation (GSDC), a community development agency based in the City of Chicago whose primary goal is to improve the quality of life in south- westChicago through entrepreneurial, commercial and residential real estate development, as well as a variety of business and residential resources. He was Chief Strategy Officer of Esperanza Health Care, is a Feder- ally Qualified Health Center with four locations whose mission is to promote healthy lifestyles & improve health status through high quality health care &wellness services. Veronica Gloria Veronica Gloria will serve on the Illinois Board of Higher Education. Gloria serves as Executive Director of Centro Español, a non-profit social service agency that provides bilingual social and educational services in Will County. Before joining Centro Español, she coordinated an internship program for low-income and first-generation college students at the University of Chicago and conducted mental health research for low-income students at the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla in Puebla, Mexico. Recently, Gloria joined the Greater Joliet YMCA Metropolitan Board. She received her bachelor's degree in social studies and a minor in ethnicity, migration and rights from Harvard University. Jesse Ruiz Jesse Ruiz will be installed as the 146th President of the Chicago Bar Association. Ruiz was appointed Dep- uty Governor by Pritzker in December of 2018. Prior to that was a partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath where he served as a Marketing Partner and as a member of the firm's Client Service Committee. He has focused much of his civic involvement in public educa- tion, formerly serving as Vice President of the Chicago Board of Education and chairman of the Illinois State Board of Education. He has also served as Interim CEO of Chicago Public Schools, and Chairman of the Illinois State Board of Education. Veronica Herrero Veronica Herrero will serve on the Illinois Board of Higher Education. Herrero currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at the City Colleges of Chicago. Previously, she was Chief Pro- gram Officer of One Million Degrees, a non-profit organization partnering with community colleges in the Chica- goland area committed to empower- ing community college students to succeed in school, work and life. Her- rero serves on the Northern Illinois University Board of Trustees and Girls, Inc. of Chicago Board of Directors. Her- rero received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her Bachelor of Arts from the Univer- sity of Wisconsin-Madison. Michael Negron Negron will serve as the Assistant Director of Illi- nois Department of Commerce and Economic Oppor- tunity.Negron spent the last six years serving as a policy adviser to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. He joined the mayor's office in 2011 as the Director of the Innovation Delivery Team, then served as Deputy Chief of Policy and Strategic Planning and finally as Chief of Policy. Prior, Negron worked in the Obama administration in Washington, D.C., serving as Spe- cial Counsel to the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Defense and Special Assistant to the General Counsel within the Office of Management and Budget. He also served as counsel to Elizabeth Warren Negron also served as an officer in the U.S. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, M.A. in History from the University of Memphis and B.S. in Foreign Service in International History from Georgetown University.
