Diversity Rules Magazine Returns to Print This Month Beginning with the March 2013 issue, the Oneontabased Diversity Rules Magazine is returning to print on a limited, subscription-only basis. Diversity Rules Magazine was conceived in 2006 by James R. Koury, a local queer activist. According to a media release, Koury felt the local LGBTQ community needed an outlet to express itself, and wanted to let those dealing with their sexuality in the closet know that they are not alone in their struggle. With the economic downturn, Diversity Rules ceased publication and went on haitus in 2009. In March 2011, it returned as a digital publication, opening it to readers in the Oneonta area and beyond. The March edition will feature Luke Lalor. Luke Lalor moved to Germany from Australia a decade ago and has established himself as a Berlin entrepreneur, the release said. Lalor has years of experience in the photo industry, the release said, along with prominent names with the field. He recently combined his professional work with his personal passion for fetish, developed Grown Up Networks and the MAXIMUS platform. Koury said in the release that he is "excited to be able to offer a print edition of Diversity Rules Magazine again, on a subscription-only basis." He said that "his vision and passion for the publication has never waned, and he always kept sight on the goal of returning and having Diversity Rules regain its pre-eminence as New York's premier alternative publication."
