1. Why did you want to start your own business? e idea of business ownership always appealed to me since I come from a family of entrepreneurs. Life handed me several pivotal experiences that helped me see that my passion is to help people. Crucial experiences taught me that to achieve what I wanted out of life, I needed to build my own legacy, and, ultimately, my own business. As a self-directed, forever evolving and independent woman, I also love autonomy, creativity and feeling like I can make a di&erence. I did not start Weitzel Insurance, but I was given the opportunity to help grow it. e challenge and evolution of the business proved to me that entrepreneurship is what I am built for. is allows me the chance to make a lasting impact and continue to work towards my ultimate goals of taking care of my parents, giving back to the community and eventually investing in my private goal, which is near and dear to me, of starting an organization for families of Alzheimer's. Owning a business challenges you to really know yourself, your limits and ultimately surpass them. 2. What makes your business unique? Service and the relationship— someone with a warm voice answering the phone when they call. We want to teach and educate our clients. We are a very transparent agency. I am here to educate people on what we have to o&er so they may make the best- educated decision on what best suits their individual, personalized situation. Our approach of really educating our clients, working with them to tailor to them, is what sets us apart. 3. What's the most fun or gratifying part of what you do? e most gratifying part is being able to help people in an industry that does not always have the best reputation. Insurance is taking someone's hand and walking with them through the di&erent stages of life. Since we are a small family business, we tend to form close personal relationships with our clients. When we answer the phone, we have cried with our clients, we have talked them through just being in an accident. Or we have shared the joy of just getting married, having a baby or buying a new home. ey're the new business owner who just got their business started, or the person just saving money with a better policy. As I tell people, my job is to make new friends, and who doesn't want to do that? WEITZEL INSURANCE AGENCY, INC. WEITZELINSURANCE.COM 717 737.7387 NICOLE CARRICATO, Chief Operating Oce 1. Why did you want to start your own business? I am fortunate that I did not need to start Mountz Jewelers. My father and brother made the decision 40 years ago to purchase Mountz. I did make the decision to join the business, which was not always my plan, but I know it was the right choice for me. I was blessed to have both my father and brother by my side to guide me, mentor me and lead by example. 2. What makes your business unique? Being in the jewelry industry is unique because we build a relationship with our client as our client builds their personal relationships. It usually starts with an engagement ring and then wedding bands, and then many birthdays, anniversaries and other holidays throughout the years. We get to know all aspects of our client's life, and they become part of the "Mountz Jewelers family." It is a personal relationship that we hold dear to our hearts. We have been fortunate to be part of these special moments for generations of a family. Our business is also unique because we o&er professional services along with the physical product. We repair jewelry, appraise jewelry, service timepieces, create custom designs and engrave. We work with the latest technology to repair jewelry and use a computer-aided design system to create custom jewelry. 3. What's the most fun or gratifying part of what you do? Mountz Jewelers is an amazing place to celebrate the most important moments in life. It is fun and gratifying to work with a client in !nding or creating the perfect piece of jewelry to match the occasion. We believe that your jewelry is meant to be worn and enjoyed. With that in mind, I enjoy when someone inherits jewelry, and we can work together to create a new piece with their beloved gemstones. ese pieces are special because the client can touch and see the same gemstones a family member also enjoyed. Our Mountz team is fun and talented! I am grateful for the work ethic and excitement brought to Mountz every day by our expert associates. We have team members who have been with the company over 35 years, and the relationships we build within the company are more like family than co-workers. Every piece of jewelry represents a time to be forever remembered, and our goal is for our community to trust their special moments to Mountz.
