Many homeowners spend a lot of time cleaning and organizing their homes in preparation for vis- itors, but house-cleaning doesn't have to be overwhelming, said Crystal Wieder, who owns Sparkly Cleaning, a house-cleaning serv- ice in Milwaukee, with her part- ner, Matt Andrews. She recommends starting early — and starting small — when it comes to cleaning one's home. "Even if you commit to half the bathroom cabinets one week, it's a great start and will slowly chip away the clutter," Wieder said. Wieder added that getting one room per week, such as the bed- room, in ship shape is a good start, as clean rooms immediately give a home a more relaxing vibe. Using oil diffusers or lighting candles with calming scents, like eucalyp- tus and lavender, can also make a home more inviting.
