Post obituaries guidelines By BRIAN HUBER Conley News Service WAUKESHA — A Milwaukee man is due in court next month to answer charges he possessed syn- thetic marijuana of the type that contributed to another man's death in the City of Pewaukee last year. Scott Goral, 54, was charged Tuesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with possessing with intent to deliver between 200 and 1,000 grams of a syn- thetic cannabinoid, as well as three felony counts of bail jumping for allegedly committing a new crime while open cases were pend- ing. If convicted of all counts, Goral could face up to 22 years in prison. The complaint in the case said a man, identified only as A.J.C., was found pulseless and not breathing when sheriff's deputies were summoned to an Archery Drive home July 19, 2017. Goral was one of the peo- ple with A.J.C., who was found in a room Goral rent- ed from the homeowner. Goral would not grant authorities permission to search his room, the com- plaint said. The homeowner said A.J.C. had come to his house with brandy while the owner was working on an upstairs bathroom. He told A.J.C. to go sit with Goral, and told Goral to "take care of his guy," the complaint said. Goral said A.J.C. was in his room only about a minute before he began to snore; a few minutes later, he vomited. Goral and another person present tried CPR before summon- ing help. A search of Goral's room yielded a heat sealer and three bags containing a total of 405 grams of what was later determined to be a syn- thetic cannabinoid knows as 5F-ADB or 5F, the com- plaint said. His phone had records of various transac- tions, as well as pictures of synthetic marijuana. It also showed he'd sold a product he labeled as "incense" on a popular internet site and "too many transactions on the defendant's phone to individually document" quickly, the complaint said. Goral said the substance was accidentally sent to him from China, but he denied selling it and said he used it only once. He said A.J.C. did not use any of it, the com- plaint said. An autopsy of A.J.C. showed he died of mixed drug intoxication, with the manner of death listed as accidental due to the use of alcohol, buprenorphine and 5F-ADB, the complaint said.
