He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred H. Grigg and Hester Martin Grigg. Mr. Grigg served our coun- try in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Hord Grigg, second wife, Jane Clark Grigg; stepmother, Ethel Costner Grigg; step son, Steve Phillips, four brothers, T.B. Grigg, William (Bill) Grigg, John Grigg and Tom Grigg and two sisters, Hazel Beckham and Ann Willis. He is survived by two step daughters, Mollie Arndt of Waco and Billie Brackett and husband, Mark of Lawndale; step son, John Arndt and wife, Jessica of Belwood; seven step grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren. The funeral service was held at Lawndale Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Rose Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Lawndale Baptist Church, PO Box 126, Lawndale, NC 28090. Mr. Cooke was preceded in death by his parents, John and Delia Hudson Cooke. He served our country in the Army during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Shytle Cooke; son, Randy Cooke; and sisters, Buna Crawley and Sarah Hunt. Mr. Cooke is survived by his son, Steve Cooke of Connelly Springs, and Steve's sister, Jennifer Caldwell of Startown; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park with military honors.
