MENU Thursday, August 16: Country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, but- tered corn and diced pears. Friday, August 17: Chick- en sandwich, crispy sea- soned fries, green beans and an apple. Monday, August 20 : Two cheesy bread sticks, marina- ra sauce, glazed carrots and tropical fruit. Tuesday, August 21: Chicken with cheese and rice, tortilla chips, refried beans, steamed cauliflower and an orange. Wednesday, August 22: Hot dog on bun, pota- to wedges, broccoli with cheese sauce, diced pears and Jello. Three or four fifth graders are chosen to raise and lower the flag out- side the school each day during the school year. First graders Kyleigh Schultz and Rayden Schooler drink their "jitter juice". Mrs. Russell's students made the juice to calm their first day of school jitters. Sprinkles were the magic add- ed touch. Mrs. Estey's class first day fun! After reading The cat in the Hat they made an art project. They enjoyed using their new school sup- plies.
