Officials started the parade 15 minutes early in an attempt to beat the rain, which dropped nearly three inches of rain on the area. Miss Pike County 2018 Emily Brash- er beams and reaches for more candy to throw. Mike Pike County 2017 Bailee Sutt reloads with candy. The Petersburg Boy Scouts acted at the color guard for the 4-H parade with Cameron Smith carrying the American Flag. Little Miss and Jr. Miss Pike County contestants Ava Sturgeon and Aubrey Sturgeon rode in the back of a pickup. 4-H Club members wave from a trailer they were riding in Sunday just be- fore the rain began.
