One of the easiest was accepting a check from Dan J. Thomas of Auto Donate, for $300. Being the ���rst non-pro���t to sign on with Auto Donate back in September, the Rutherford Housing Partnership immediately began telling their constituents and supporters of the opportunity to give an unwanted car, truck or motorcycle to the charity. As Thomas and his staff also spread the word about the service, he received a call from his network of friends. Thomas explained, ���Rutherford Housing Partnership was one of the ���rst non-pro���ts we spoke to, but there were many others. RHP immediately made the commitment to partner with us. As the ���rst to come on board they were the obvious choice to receive this donation. Nell Bovender, Executive Director of Rutherford Housing Partnership said, ���we are always looking for ways to enable our supporters to assist us. Anytime we can provide both a service and a way for them to contribute with out adding a lot of extra work to our packed schedule we seize the opportunity. This was so easy, both for us and for our supporters. We are thrilled to receive the bene���t from the ���rst car donated.��� Thomas added, ���This is the time of year folks look at their ���nancial picture and determine gifts to the charities they are passionate about.
