B-10 Wednesday, October 24, 2012 The Press-Dispatch WES visits Buffalo Run and Lincoln Boyhood State Park fifth graders had their annu- al "Pioneer Day" at Buffalo Run and Lincoln Boyhood State Park. The students learn about The Winslow Elementary the pioneer's lifestyle, work, and chores. Some of the ac- tivities of the day include sewing, playing pioneer chil- dren's games, feeding the buffalo, and eating a buffa- lo burger. They also have been studying about Abra- ham Lincoln and visited the Lincoln Memorial, the cem- etery and the Lincoln Pio- neer Village. The fifth graders each tie- dyed a t-shirt to wear on their field trip day. This is an ex- citing day for the students that they look forward to ev- ery year.
