Grand Ave. Ph 262-268-9803 250897005 This year's event to feature accessory swap, comedic performances By Melanie Boyung News Graphic Staff GRAFTON — The time of year has come around for Ladies Night Out in Grafton. Ladies Night Out, a Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce event, will be Tuesday, Aug. 2. The festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m. and extend until 9 p.m., including both some return favorites from earlier years and a few new changes for Grafton ladies to enjoy. According to Lisa Taubner of the Grafton chamber, there are more than 60 businesses registered to participate in this year's event. Businesses have had samples, free giveaways and a variety of drawings in the past during this event. The raffle structure for the event has changed somewhat this year, instead of collecting tickets to put in different drawings, ladies will receive a punch card. Anyone who gets 10 punches from businesses during the event can enter one drawing, which will have several winners and prizes. The highlight, grand prize will be a weekend getaway at a Door County spa, sponsored by Cornerstone Community Bank. Other prizes during the drawing will include a Fitbit. The pedal shuttle will be returning to Ladies Night Out, so ladies can pedal their way around downtown Grafton to take in the sights. The Columbia St. Mary's 3-D mammogrophy coach will also be making an appearance; it will be available for appointments from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Another new feature of Ladies Night Out will be the accessory swap. Ladies are invited to bring up to five accessory items – jewelry, scarves, hats, purses or other items that are gently used – to registration at the Arts Mill. For each item turned in, participants will get a ticket to turn in at the accessory booth during Ladies Night Out to get new accessories. Continues on Page 2
