Left: Red Fox, Island Beach State Park.
One gorgeous afternoon, I ran into this beauty on
the path leading to the beach near the first parking
area. Many times they will roam the beach trying to
steal the fisherman's bait. It's always special to see a
fox on the beach.
Above: Box Turtle, Toms River.
This box turtle came strolling past my back deck in
the Silverton area of Toms River. It was heading to a
small estuary off Barnegat Bay. It stopped for a few
photos giving me that big stare and continued on its
way. The neighborhood cat was very intrigued with
this strange visitor.
Right: Eastern Cottontail Rabbit, South Seaside Park.
It seems I run into a cottontail no matter where my
photography takes me. This big eyed bunny was
grazing just outside the entrance to Island Beach
State Park. "They breed like bunnies" is a true say-
ing as they may produce three to four litters from
March through September.
